Chuan Pictures is the new production company set up by Singapore auteur Royston Tan. ‘Chuan’ means ‘fountain’ in Chinese and our design reflects different aspects of the name and identity.
The character for ‘Chuan’ is rendered in a custom sans-serif face and encapsulated within a rising droplet; it simultaneously balances tradition with modernity, stability and dynamism.

The simplicity of the design is elegantly presented in gunmetal foil for name cards, and used as a repeated pattern for address stickers on envelopes.
