A departure from director Royston Tan’s violently funky full-length debut “15”, “4:30” is a quiet and reflective film that is at times both silly and fun.

This European version of the poster was conceived to not resemble typical film posters but rather the cover of a contemporary novel. Futura was chosen as the typeface for its simplicity and quirkiness, the better to avoid potential impressions of an Asian horror or suspense thriller.
The versions of the poster distributed in Asia impart an uncomfortable tilt to the actors’ cosy body posture, hinting at their unsettled states of mind in the film.
