For a brand that advocates good design, and whose customers are mainly architects and designers who are equally believers, it needed its calendar to be stylish and more than useful.
Simplicity was key. On the cover, the brand was blind debossed for a sleek and subtle look. The roman numerals MMXI were used in place of 2011 as a way to accentuate the “X” that also featured prominently in the brand.
Faint, blind debossed lines were used as a visual guide to differentiate the days in each month. The deeper debossed effect for the logo and year continued through for consistency.
The calendar was designed to also offer dual functionality. When flattened on a desk or during meetings, it becomes a useful notepad with the debossed lines serving as writing guides. The calendars were eventually packed in a custom designed slipcases and presented as gifts to customers.
