Since 2001, Larry has explored Singapore’s culture through everyday objects. For &Larry’s 20th anniversary, he revives that spirit with HDB Consoles — a TV console inspired by the iconic architecture of Singapore’s public housing.

Created with Nathan Home, the piece draws from childhood days spent along HDB corridors: hide-and-seek, brief banishments for mischief, and peering through ledges imagining other worlds. Those memories shape its familiar geometry and quiet nostalgia.

Both practical and playful, the console features “corridors” sized for Playmobil figures that double as drawer handles, and a custom metal plate bearing the block number of Larry’s childhood home — a small tribute to where these stories began.
